Fish Trap in southern RI?

My powder blue is a murderous monster. I need to catch him to give the other tangs a minute to make a war plan before I unleash the fury once more.

Does anyone have a fish trap in southern RI? I know the club has a few but I'd rather not drive to saskatoon to pick one up, so hoping one may be close or maybe someone could bring one to the swap?

Please let me know, my currently terrified mimic and blonde naso tangs would really appreciate you helping me catch this psychopath powder blue. I tried to catch him with my wife holding a flashlight last night and he ATTACKED me and the net and the algae scraper I was coralling him with. We are talking about a warlord here. My man is on no-fly lists. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife.

Club has traps but not down there, contact @Mixed Reefer I'm sure you'll both be at FragsGiving 2024

I highly recommend getting a mirror in putting it right against the glass. I added a tang to a tank that already had three. I was told a little 4 x 4 mirror would suffice but I went to Family Dollar and I bought a 6‘ x 10” mirror and put it right up against the entire length of my tank for about two weeks. I never had an issue after that. The aggressive fish in the tank are too busy fighting themselves against the mirror and they forget about the newcomer.

I have my own Icecap large size trap in Foxboro where you got the suction handles. Pretty sure I'll be at Fragsgiving unless the election results make me relocate to Canada.....

It's only been used once and back in a flat box, so you'd be able to ship back like the handles. Let me know if I should bring it to Topsfield.

Yes please thanks Cooper!

I will also DM @Mixed Reefer to see if I can borrow the club one.

@Sdeluca10 that is great input I will try that!

The two smaller tangs were getting whooped so badly they were desperate near the surface so I was able to catch them and put them back in QT, but I do want to still catch the PBT and put him in an acclimatization box "timeout" when I try to put them in again.

I'm buying fish trap from a member at the show. You're welcome to borrow it. I'm in cranston, ri.

Also- Look into decoy 3D printed tangs. I've read of it working for some people.
