Flame Angel W/ ich

IMO the most effective way to get rid of it would be to put the angel in the QT tank and either dose with copper or run hypo. My personal experience has proved to be running hypo is the best way to go. I have tried the other methods of soaking food in garlic and such and I have saw ich go away slightly on the fish but never had it completely disappeared. Although Some people have had luck with the garlic method.
If your fish does indeed have ich then ich will remain present in your tank as long as their are fish inhabitants there. So even if you cure the ich now on the flame there is always the possibility once back in the main tank that the angel can get it again along with your other fish inhabitants. The only way to completely get rid of ich from your tank is to remove all fish and leave your tank empty for 4-6 weeks. If ich does not have a host to live off of it will go through its life cycle and eventually die. If you dont do this you are risking a an ongoing battle with ich which can become very fustrating.

When I discover a fish with ich I lower salinity and raise temp up a bit and turn on my UV... I don't have a QT and I've never lost a fish to ich... I think trying to catch it, throwing it in a QT will just stress it out more which just bolsters ich, plus you're going to have to break your tank down to get that fish out...

seacem's Metronidazole w/ focus works great (mixed with garlic guard for palatability). Especially when used in conjunction w a good uv sterilizer (uv is clutch if ich is persistant). I thaw some mysis add the 2 medications (powders), mix and refreeze. I like using a piece of plastic grid to make a blob of medicated food into a bunch of even, square doses. feed as usual.
Always good to take a multi pronged approach
