Flatworm exit or get a Wrasse ?

I have a flatworm outbreak in my tank right now. 34 Gallon corals rock no sand.

I have a Mandarin that doesn’t touch the flatworms at all. I had a really bad aptasia problem and I have 4 peppermint shrimp

I was thinking about a yellow Cori’s wrasse to control and remove the outbreak I know 6 lines are probably better but I don’t trust them with shrimp.

I know Flatworm exit is readily available but I generally only like to dose calcium and Alkalinity in my tank. Plus I think a fish will generally keep eating the population while the treatment will have to be used multiple times.

Has anyone had luck with a yellow Cori’s and Peppermints together ?

I got a lemon meringue corris wrasse (basically a yellow corris with white on the bottom) and it is picking at them most of the day. Picked up a green mandarin for the same thing and he goes after them too.

Yellow coris and melanarus are hunters of the flatworm.

I got a six line for this purpose in my 50 and she hasn’t touched a single one! Should have gone Coris. Considering a mandarin since I wouldn’t mind having one regardless. Although I’ve been more aggressively siphoning the worms and will eventually (soon?) try flatworm exit for a full “cure.”

What kind of flatworms? A yellow Cori’s would certainly hunt them. What will you do about having no sand? Place some in a container for the fish?

I don’t have a screen for the top of the tank either. I guess it’s probably going to have to be Flatworm exit for now.

Hello - any chance you are still having this flatworm problem? I'm actually hoping to collect some for science purposes (see the previous post on my profile). Email me at lawlor@mit.edu if you still have any!
