Alright i'm trying to work through the flow I should have go through my sump. The flow from the sump is not intended to provide any real flow in the tank I've got that covered. I just want the flow through the sump to feed my hang on skimmer. I was thinking 300-450 through my sump for my 55 gal was good. But I was thinking of dropping the flow down to like 150-200 gallons. Would the even slower flow benefit my skimmer efficiency as it would give it more contact time. Plus would the slower flow benefit my refugium. If I'm surface skimming into the sump it should be pulling most of the organics. Just trying to work out if slower flow will equal better. I can't see any reason it wouldn't be as efficient if not more....Open to all to criticize...
