Fragging question

I have a green star polyp rock that is kind of too big and would like to break in 2 maybe 3 pieces, what is the best way to do this? I was thinking hammer and chisel? or is there a better way.

Thanks, this will be my first time splitting a coral..

Sometimes you can peel off the GSP off the rock with a tug and a raiser blade. Then superglue it to a new rock.
