GFO - Regular or High Capacity??

Is the high capacity really better or worth the extra money?
I have a BRS dual Carbon\GFO reactor for 180 gal. Does tank size matter?

too much GFO can strip your phosphate down too fast and shock corals. if your tank has a ton of phosphate start off with phosphate sponge and then switch over to GFO.

I just got the regular stuff last week when I ordered my new dual reactor. Couldn't justify spending 2-3x the amount for the high capacity stuff. Unless I saw some hard numbers to justify the cost difference I'll save some cash and change it out a little more often.

Someone in the other thread about reactors mentioned to start off with half of what the BRS calculators say.

I run gfo both grits in the media container of a magnum 350 . I rince it out every two weeks and just replace what is lost. My 90 reef is awesome. Reaction chambers work better with high capacity
Standard grit is better in a fluidized filter. Not sure if high capacity is worth the money.
