what does every one use to clean there glass?

lately trying to clean my glass is like taken wallpaper of the wall just not coming off.bought a few things in last 2 week and nothing is working .=( never had is so tough to remove before. makes me wanna buy a new tank glass looks so ugly lmk thanks

I've had good luck with the trusty mag float. But now that coraline is out of control im looking for something stronger, like a flipper with the metal blade. I'm just concerned having a bow front tank, because I'm assuming all scraping will have to be side to side.

Get the tunze one it's the best and you can clean below the sand line

I second the Tunze magnets. just make sure you get the correct size one. When I first started using them, I was using the strongest one on a 125g tank (1/2" thick I think) and I could barely move that thing! so strong... but now I use the strongest one on my 3/4" glass and it glides like butter and cleans everything. Also the way they are built it is pretty darn hard to scratch the glass with them.

I use a straight edge safety razor blade in a little handle. It works awesome and cheap.

I need a handle like that! thing kills my hands. I wrap duct tape around the non blade side. that works too. Would love to buy some tool to help, but the razor blade is really cheap.

Local hardware stores usually carry them. I don't think I've seen them at the depot but they probably have them in the paint section if they do.

Just got one of the Tunzes, of course I have no coraline, just sand residue.I did use Magfloats but they were quite prone to getting a piece of sand in the scrubber part scratching the glass. There still are pads on the dry side of the tunze that you must keep scrupulously clean. But overall I like it.

The lack of flotation in a 27" deep eurobrace tank is grrr inducing. I'm going to create a leash for it.
I still need practice with my corner turning - its much harder than with a magfloat...

I don't even bother trying to turn corners with the Tunze Care Magnet. I have the strong version and I'm afraid I either will break it or make a worse, make a scratch on the glass. I have a rimless tank right now so it's now a big issue of taking the magnet out and do the other sides of the tank. I also do not leave any cleaning tool in the tank.

Oh, it hurts like a b**** if you get your finger caught between the two magnets.

I used to use the little mag float scrapers, but found them frustrating and ineffective at getting coraline and tougher algae off the glass. Several years ago, I bought a Flipper magnet which has a metal scraping edge and it's much better. The metal blade isn't sharp, but the scraper holds it at a perfect 45 degree angle that lets it clear the glass easily from the outer handle on the other side of the magnet. It's one of the more expensive options, but I'm happy to pay for a better tool for something I use once or twice a week every week for years.

thanls guys just order a tunze and im gonna try a razor in the mean time
That's awesome your getting the tunze. I just want to say if you like having your hands in the tank your going to love how well the razor works. I just would like to suggest rinse the blade in water first and wipe it with a napkin before putting it in you tank the first time then rinse after each time you use them in the tank. They rust quickly but are good for about 3-4 times at least, if you have any scratches on your glass anywhere run the razor lengthwise over the scratch, if you run into the scratch sideways you risk damaging the blade like any metal scraper, scrape holding the razor 45° or angle or more against the glass and use pressure to stay firmly against the glass while scraping. Watch out for knuckle busting against coral, and live rock..
