Glass Scratch Repair? Could it be a DIY?

So my little cousin scratched a half-dollar sized star in the top left corner of the front glass of my 29 gallon. Little punk... Lol. So to avoid the hassle of getting another 29 gallon and transferring all the sand/water/rock to it which would be a nightmare, I was wondering if there are any repair kits or techniques? Right now I just cover it with my Mag-Float. Out of sight, almost kinda sorta sometimes out of half my mind.

I know they sell automobile windshield crack repair kits at Wal*Mart. Think it'd work on aquarium surface scratches? It's on the outside, so using chemicals is fine.

Well I wanted to spin the tank 180 degrees and use the other side, but it's got a black vinyl stick-on background that's been there for awhile and leave a pretty nasty residue behind. Not sure but i'm pretty sure there were a few low scratches on the inner part of that side too from where the rock sits against the glass. These things can scratch so easy. :( Lol. Someday down the line I want to convert everything over and into a 29g HQI Bio-Cube anyways, but that's far down the road. Possibly a year or two. I'm still trying to convince my parents to let me set up a 75g in their basement this summer. :D

Eh oh well. Mag-Float saves the day. I may buy a Koralia or Tunze and put the magnet of that over it at some point.

Nice! :Thumbs up: I could even use it for my 10g freshwater too. For the price that's not bad at all. Thanks and good looks!
