Hello all,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been an active reefer in the area for a while now, but for some reason never took the time to join this group - so I'm fixing that today.

I have a 120g reef tank plumbed into a 75 sump in my basement that has been up and running for 4 years this August. It needs to be pruned a bit (as you can see from the photo), but is doing fairly well. It could always be better, and I look forward to learning from all of you.

As for me, I am 37 and live in Plymouth with my wife, newborn daughter and two golden retrievers. I am a veterinary ophthalmologist (hence the name screen name) and work keeps me busy as well.

I look forward to meeting everyone!

Pat

Hello Pat and welcome to the BRS! Congrats on the new baby.:)

Wow!! Nice clam!

Welcome to the club!!

I know - that clam needs it's own zip code. It's almost getting too big for the tank (difficult to move) - but just keeps growing almost exponentially

The clam is about 11-12 inches in length and the mantle is just about that wide when fully open. I got the little bugger 5 years ago and he has made the move from my smaller (75g) tank 4 years ago - never skipped a beat.

Here is a close-up of the clam (with a chromis posing for perspective):)
