Hanging light fixture w/ snap toggles

Has anyone hung lights from their ceiling using snap toggles? The light fixture I have weighs about 29lbs. Each of these toggles are rated for around 50lbs.

The real problem is hanging anything off wallboard, you are much better off spanning two or more joists with a decorative board directly attached to the joists.
