Has anyone else seen these?

I have recently seen what looks like tiny mantis shrimp living in my sand and rocks. They are smaller than a amphipod and I have never seen them any bigger. I have tried to find info on them but I can't. I tried to get pics but they are way to small.

No it literally looks like a tiny mantis shrimp. They are smaller than those

They are harmless from what I see. They do eat the smaller pods. This is when I wish I had a good camera with a macro lens. I'm going to try to get a pic of one though.

I’ve also found these mantis-looking crustaceans in my filter socks before. They are the size of a small/medium amphipods. Try looking there…i will share pictures next time I searched thru my filter socks.
