you were making 2 part and tried to mix 500 grams of baking soda and 594 grams of calcium chloride in the same 2 gallon water bottle? The result is a big mess! You don't have to try this yourself to experience the eruption....or maybe you do.
I had set the bottle with the baking soda on the work bench. After I measured out the calcium, I grabbed the wrong water bottle. Using a funnel, I added all the product. As I always do, I stick my thumb in the whole and figuously shake. Works well enough... This time, my thumb wouldn't stay in the hole. The fizzing was aggressive. So I applied more pressure. Of course, this made it all worse. Just as I realized what was happening, the pressure was too great and a gallon of 2 part squirted out the hole covering me, my work benches and eventually the garage floor.
Wish I had pictures for you all.
Good times...
