Help/advise for a a new stand

I am thinking of upgrading my 90RR to a 210, but unfortunately the floor space I have is shorter than the 72?-74? required for the 210 stand. Basically the tank will be sitting next to a fireplace, because there is the red brick on the floor around the fire place which is aprox 8-10 inches high I only have 60?-62? of floor space for the stand base to play with.

So I am thinking of building my own stand with the bottom frame shorter (60?-62?) than the top frame (72?-73?).

Will this work? Will it support the weight given that the support legs would be shifted 5?-6? or so away from the top frame corners? Any concerns? What is the best way to build this?

Any other ideas instead or recommendations would be appreciated.

I don't have the carpentry skills to help much on the stand design, but if that's a functional fireplace I'd be a little concerned about the heat impacting the livestock or the tank itelf?

Just something to consider?

built from the right material there is no question of sturdiness. seaworld in salem has a tank in their saltwater area right now that has a stand under it that is as wide as the tank at the top but it is inset about 8 inches on either side at the bottom. no doubt you will need to use nice strong materials to build it but it would definitely work,.

How big is the hearth on the fire place? Is it in the center of the wall? You could bury the fireplace & hide it within the stand making a wall unit out of it! Keep the back of the stand open for extra storage into the CLEANED fireplace

Many people in older homes wall over a fireplace. This would only be not so permanent if you sell your home!
