help with Mg test kit

I just tried twice to test the Magnesium with a new Elos test kit and both times I did it at the end where it says to add reagent D until color turns from pinkish to light blue it never leaves this nasty greenish color. I ended up stopping after I put in 40 drops. Has this every happened to anyone else or am I doing something wrong?

Damn Elos, looks like they change their MG kit again. My kit only has up to Reagent C. You should see the color change from pink to blue. If it's the same change as the CA kit, the reagent D is for a higher resolution.

I just got an elos kit and mine works fine. I need to put a ton of reagent A in but D it usually changes quick.

The reagent A it took 33 drops and I got up to 40 with the D and it still looks like baby poo color! It was never pink and it never turned blue at all. The direction never say anything about a higher resolution. EEERRRR I hate testing stuff!

Just be sure that you are doing two separate tests. You only use reagent "A" in the first vial. Reagents "B", "C", & "D" are used in the second vial. I think that the instructions for this test could have been written better.

I see what you mean Furnman, Phase 2 is a totally seperate test like starting over and then do the math! The directions suck! I guess I should have looked at the picture book a little better!

yea the directions are a bit confusing. It is two seperate tests though. Once you put the powder in on the second test, it will turn bright pink. Only took like 4 drops of D to change the color if I remember correctly
