Deciding how many holes to drill....is a Bean overkill?

Bean was too much work/setup for me so I went with the Herbie. 2 one inch drains and a 3/4 return

If you have the space I would say go Bean everytime. Either way though, beware of angled or horizontal pipe runs, they can cause restarting issues with the siphon.

This is a great point before moving to any system make sure you understand it completely. If not you are more apt to make a mistake implementing it and more likely to have issues.

Truth be told, I am a professional engineer who has designed quite a few plumbing systems in my day. Greatly looking forward to plumbing this actually.
