"For many years, noted authorities have suggested that keeping aquariums with lots and lots of miniature species, eventually bound upon survival to compete with each other in a small closed volume of water, was asking for trouble."

Goniopora is a "sewer pot" that likes high organics. Most Sps do not tolerate high organics unless they have been aquacultured to do so over many generations. Different types do have oils that are toxic to each other though.

The only way to have success with a goni in a sps dominated system is to feed it often. Too much of a pain in the ace for me.

As far as chemical warfare is concerned......Most systems are too small to avoid chemical warfare. (even systems with 500 plus gallons of water) The key is skimmers fuge & frequent water changes...Oh & did I forget......Carbon!!!!!
