Hooking up a aqua jr with dc8 ?

Well I am going to hook up my new Aqua Jr controller tonight. Can anyone tell me quick do?s & don?ts before I do! One thing I am not sure on is when I plug in the DC8 will the controller prompt me as to what is plugged into each outlet of the DC8? The manual does not show a definitive outlet 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8?

Or does it prompt you to tell the aqua jr. what is plugged into outlet 1 & program the parameters from there, so on & so on?

There are two manuals. One for the controller and one for the DC8. If you don't have the one for the DC8 let me know and I can scan it and email it to you. That manual gives the location of each outlet and there's also that little do-hickey on the side you have to set so it matches the output of the controller.

Pay attention to your amp load on your ballasts as the compare to the DC8, else you will blow the fuse. My 3 400's drawing 3.8each were too much for the DC 8, and kept blowing the fuse.

I don't have a controller but sometimes I think I might look into one, I followed the above link and see mostly problems, how trouble free are they?
