Hooo yeah! The baited bottle trap worked again!

Finally made an effort to remove that nasty little strawberry pseudochromis in my tank. Sucker was a little bully.
Made a the ol' DIY trap out of a 20 oz plastic soda bottle.
Added a very small piece of shrimp.
First attempt, the trap fell to the bottom, and the narsarrius snails had a little party.
Second attempt, I stood the trap on the live rock, in a pocket. Left it there for a few hours. Checked back later and saw the pink fish in the trap. Ran into the pantry/fish room and pulled the bottle out.
The little bully is now in jail in the sump.

Sweet! I am very pleased.

Already picked up those Allen's damsels at Krystal Clear per your tip!
You da man. :D

Oh yeah - gonna pick up a couple of other fish from Russ tomorrow.

I saw 5 tiny ones, and bought 4.

Congrats Moe. I tried the DIY soda bottle thing to trap a nasty wrasse I have. Didn't work, so I broke down and bought a trap. I caught the bas^%^%d in 5 minutes!! He was in my tank for a couple of years bullying every new fish I put in. He's been bullying my leopard wrasse for the past 6 months - I hardly ever saw the leopard. Ever since the nasty wrasse has been removed, the leopard has a new lease on life. He cruises the tank like he owns the joint.

Moe, a positive experience! Coupled with a Pats win, you must be downright giddy!
