How do I frag a gorgonian?

How do I frag my photosynthetic branching gorgonian? It has been growing and is starting to touch the glass and I would like to get a few more branches for when I eventually get seahorses. Is there any secret to it? Glue or rubber band? Any help would be appreciated.

I've cut one once. A clean razor blade will do the trick. We used glue with no harm done.

then glue keep in a fairly good flow to help fight any dieoff

You can cut it and use glue to attach to a new rock. You just want to make sure that you remove the fleshy stuff where you are going to glue. If you don't, the flesh can slough off and it will come unattached.
