How long have you waited for brown corals to color up?

Hi All,

Just passed 6 months anniversary on my new build and ma very happy with the progress. It is a mixed reef. All softies and LPS doing great. New acros holding cover and all but 4 acros that i transferred are coloring up nicely.

Wondering if I should punt on those 4 and replace. How long have you (successfully) waited for an acro to color up?

Thanks. I agree and all that is working well and most corals have responded as expected. I am curious as to how many times people have given up on corals and just made room for something else

Giving up before its dead is terrible it can take 6 months befor its fully colored back up. Have seen some do nothing for a year befor then decide to start growing... its a paitents hobby just gotta wait and keep every thing stable...

Corals aren't supposed to be brown? It could take a long time I'd say as long as there's PE and it's not dead keep waiting...

Agreed. I have a few that I am currently nursing back to health. I have one that I really thought was dead but just today I am starting to see some color come back.
