I use to fight my fish 2 cubes of frozen food twice a day, I got a bad algea problem so I cut back feeding to every other day. I am thinking of feeding once a day now that I am getting a hold of the algea. I have 2 false perc 1 scotts fairy wrass 1 yashia goby 1 yellow tang 1 two spot goby 5 green chromis I yellowhead jawfish. I was just wondering how much, what, and how often others feed. Anyone have any sugestions for me?

Thanks
Chris

you are over feeding by a lot. You should only feed once every other day. At most .5 of a cube or if they are large fish then you should feed krill. I feed mine every other day less about 1/3 of a cube.

I feed a 1x1" cube of frozen stuff every other day. Either homemade reef tank chop suey (fish goo) or frozen PE mysis. In between I feed a hefty pinch of pellet food. The key is to slowly work the tank up to that much input.

I experienced the same problem with overfeeding. I now feed 1 frozen cube of mysis or brine shrimp every 3 days. I also feed them a 3"x3" piece of purple or green seaweed each day.

I have 2 perc's, a shirmp goby, a 6line and an orchid dottyback in one tank and a damsel and a hawkfish in another tank and when I just feed them I feed them 1 cube and I do that every 2-3 days...

1/2 cube of some frozen delight (Mysis, Goo etc.) thawed in a cup of tank water. Sometimes I let them play with the frozen cube if I need a laugh!! Oh, and never more than every other day.
