How to separate Tunze Magnets

My magnets are stuck together. What is the best way to separate them.

Wow Andy I never had magnets that strong. You can't pry them with something?

They are pretty strong. I know that there was a thread on here a while back on how to do it but I was having a tough time finding it. I was going to try a screwdriver but dont want to risk breaking it.

Do you mean the 6080.50 magnet holder?

If so,
They are quite strong, but I was able to pull them apart by hand (I'm not all that strong). Just pull apart at one side, get one side up then twist.

Usually strong magnets are easier to get apart if you twist one clockwise and the other counter clockwise.

Thanks. Unfortunatley I also have a nice blood blisther on my hand from them as well. I wasn't paying attention to put them far enough apart and they nailed a small piece of my hand. Needless to say it does not feel great!

Edit: Got it. Counter clockwise trick worked.

Ouch. I accidentally got my Tunze Nano-stream magnets stuck together, and it took quite a bit of force to get them apart. I can't imagine getting the regular Stream magnets apart.

I did the same thing right after getting my magnets. That is one mistake I don't think I will repeat any time soon. Luckily my fingers weren't in between them, I feel for ya!

i always seemed to pinch my skin when putting the magnet away. now when im done and put it away i throw both sides in the air.. let them connect, then catch them to put em away

Did it with my Magfloat the other day...Holy crap, that hurts!!!

I got mine in the CRA parking lot about 90 seconds after buying the magnet holder. Didn't take long to learn that lesson
