Mine got to 82 f with the basement fans running and some AC ..................

how about everyone else, I am curious as to how warm the corals can get (I am thinking 85 or so)

thanks

I've let mine go up to 84 with no issues. I don't let it get past that though so as soon as I see it hit 84 I tend to drop in a bottle of ice in there

Halides are programmed to turn off at 84, which they did.......so mine hit 84 :)

90+....coral devastation.

Zoas are doing great though.....and candy canes have rebounded. Other corals are gone, some have partial heads.

Before we started a/c my MH lights shutoff at 82. Doesnt go any higher once they shut off. Added a fan to blow across the DT and now temps have stayed below 80. It might have been in upper 70's in house.

a/c is set at 70 inside home now during heat wave. Had no issue with a/c on.

Man, thank God for RKL and central AC, mine never gets past 88...knock on wood!!!! :p

Did you mean 78, Higor? LOL
Mine hit 83.5 the other day...if it happens again, I'm going to have to figure out how to hook up the chiller. :.

The hotter it gets outside, the lower my water temp gets. If its real hot, than my ac is cranking! Mine stays between 76 & 77 degs

84.5 here with no issues.

84 degrees. but the first 90 day we had last month before I had the ac on, tank hit 90 and I lost all of my euphyllias and some sps.

Second the godsend central air is, tank stays at 80 I stay at 76. Before it was constant planning and worry, now my cooling fans are stored away.

Mine will max out at 81f. That's when the MH turns off leaving only the T5. The AC usually can keep the tank at <79f.

77 with AC. 81.5 without AC.

If I took out the three 400 gph pumps that are inside my sump, the temp would never reach 81

Mine hit 81.5 with no issues. I have T5 but no method of cooling so Im looking to get some small fans to blow across the sump. Any suggestions?

Wednesday my in wall AC started acting funny and not keeping the house as cool as it normally does (72-74 deg). I didnt think much of it at first because of how devastatingly hot it was...must be difficult to keep up. Thursday morning it was cool again but not cold...wifes telling me to check it because it was 79-80 in the house. Its cool air coming from the machine but not warm and the house wasnt terribly hot so we go to the party. Come home at 9 and the house is hot! prolly 86-87. Lights are off on tank (go off at 83 deg) and Im worried. Look at the water temp and its 82.9 and the sump fan is running (turns on at 81). Nothing wrong in the tank but Im thinking that if the room was 86 the tank must have gotten up to 85. I run out and grab my extra AC unit throw it in the kitchen window. Room and tank begin to cool. Thank God no causalities. My AC is coming today to recharge the condenser.

88 before we turned on the ac. Michelle was slacking and not paying attention to the things that matter.::
