I can't get my aqua C remora to work?

I've tried everything I could think of I keep running into the same issues. My problem is that I can't seem to keep the skimmer to produce skimmate for longer then four days? Then it stops making bubbles I clean my skimmer every two weeks basically every other Sunday when I do a water Change. I never had issues like this before, the only changes I've made is adding a foam filter to reduce the noise coming from the area where the water flows out from. I also added a maxi jet 1200 to help with the flow of water going into this skimmer. its being used on a 46 bow front I'm it sure what model it is but the person I bought it from had it on a 55 gal. I still have the model number on it but I'm sure which model it is. Is there's some reason Why I can't get it to work ? Have any of you had issues like this with your aquaC Remora h.o.b skimmers and how did you correct it ?

Is the foam restricting the flow at all?

I have one that the only mod I did to it was to put a folded up paper towel over the water injection area, takes away all the noise of the skimmer.

I also have the Maxijet 1200 on mine.

No problems Royalty.I cant tell whats up in that photo.
Follow your pump intake up and into the skimmer, now on the inside of the skimmer where that pvc goes 90 deg down to the injector via elbows/s there is a plastic screw on the elbow, remove it and use a brush (skinny bristly one)suitable to reach down and pass through the injector. It's part of regular maint with those.
