I need fish that like to eat green algae

Hi All,

my 120 gallon fish-only tank has some green algaes sticked on the rocks and pump head, power cord.. they are about 1/8" long and not hair algae though. i dont know any fish that like to eat them? i am thinking to add couple yellow tangs in but not sure they help?

What do you have for a clean up crew or how much do you feed? What is your phosphate levels at?

i have a lot small snails. i feed them 3 per week and the phosphate is 0.06. there is very little green and brown algaes on glass..

is that a good idea to add the phosphate reactor in?

got a picture of it, as from the description it sounds like a Neomeris species, that is calcium based.

You might have better luck with an Emerald Crab or a Tuxedo Urchin than a fish.
