Oh I will play this game. Here are two of favorites from long ago, at a time in my life when reefing REALLY took a back seat and my tank looked like hell. (3/4 of the way through grad school.)

For reference, the pbt is five inches and the clam is...large.

Luckily neither of these animals died. I bought them in 2009 and I gave them to Dong in 2018. The pbt apparently continued to be one mean SOB, even in a huge tank!

So they are not dead, but they are gone. Some of my favorites. I moved them from Somerville to North Carolina and back up to Swampscott before we parted ways.

Haha after that gross shot I feel semi-defensive, honestly my tanks don't look like that now. It was a life phase thing.

If I have to pick a single favorite, it might be my spotted puffer from my first 75g freshwater tank back around 2000. It was always up against the glass when I came into the room and had a ton of personality. I'll never forget buying an "Australian Blue Lobster" and adding it to the tank. I went upstairs for about an hour and came back down to see pieces of blue crayfish all over the bottom of the tank and a VERY fat puffer with about 1/4 inch of claw sticking out of its mouth just staring at me.

I've had a few others over the years. Selling my previous setup out of necessity due to a breakup/moving out wasn't fun either.
