Sushi Anyone?
Soo this crab was a hitchhiker in a piece of coral. I just have him in my 10 gallon tank right now cuz i dono if hes good or bad. I cant really find anything except for the clinging crab. he is about 1"x2".. like a large emerald crab but fuzzy and red.

He kind of looks like this.. but different..
Red-ridged clinging crab (Mithrax forceps)

I'm not sure on the species but fuzzy legs and claws with pointed black tips are usually an unfriendly indicator maybe he can be a sump dweller

It does look like a Mithrax as you suggested.

I would take him out for sure. I watched a "reef safe" emerald rip apart a favia in my tank a while back.

Thanks, that link was helpful. It looks like a xanthidae type. He is in my 10 gallon right now because there is not much to mess up. Over the past 2 weeks I've noticed the hair algae has drastically reduced. Also, there were 2 little pinkish white hermit crabs that are now missing... Also I have been seeing less bristle worms. I haven't seen him since I took those pics, hopefully he's not doubled in size. LOL but since I'm sure he murdered my hermits, he's deft not going in my main tank.
