I'm trying to decide on a new skimmer

I need to use a hang on back design. I've been looking at the AquaC Remora and the CPR Bak-Pak 2. I'm not really a fan of the air injection type I like the venturi. Just my opinion I think the venturi type are easier to use. I'm had the Remora before and liked it but I've heard a lot of good things about the CRP though. Any one had the CRP that could shed so light.

Just to add more confusion, have you looked into the Reef Octopus HOBs? I have one on my 30G seahorse tank and love it. It's quiet, efficient and maintenance free.

I looked at the Reef Octopus and its an air injection skimmer. I had their in sump on a larger tank and thought it was good after the break in process but im just not feeling the air injection for a HOB.

I'm curious about your reservations about "air injection"?

I Have used Both in the Past. I preferred the CPR Bakpac !

I have an air injection skimmer now and any fluctuation in water level will start filling the tank with bubbles. as little as 8oz for a feeding. Maybe the skimmer is to big for the tank its rated for 75 gallons and my tank is a 20 gallon.
