Increasing Flow

I'm thinking about swapping our my powerheads for bigger ones to increase flow. I currently have 2 - Koralia Nano 425's and they just don't seem to have enough flow to cover the whole tank.
I'm thinking about upgrading to Koralia 750's or 1050's or the Tunze 6025's(I think that's the model).

I don't like the idea of doing the gyre flow in my tank, the whole whirlpool idea just doesn't seem right.

Would the increase be too much in my tank for the fish and corals? Or would it be fine and beneficial to everything?

In a tank that size if go with one mp10

Have you tried moving them to different positions in the tank? If that doesn't work the uprgraded flow would be fine, might have to reposition some stuff though.

The MP10 won't work in a hexagon (in my opinion), or at least in my tank with my rock formation. It would have plenty of flow, but since it's non-directional it just doesn't work unless it would be center on front glass.

Why? What are you basing that conclusion on? What doesn't "seem right", and what would?

I went to the recent BRS meeting where the featured speaker spoke about water flow and the need for gyre flow. I had the wrong flow in my tank so, bought the new Maxi-Jet 1200's and setup to produce the gyre flow pattern. Love it! Great coral response with both coral and growth. You should consider it.

In a rectangular tank I could see it working, it wouldn't be so much of a whirlpool.
In a hexagon tank it would be a big whirlpool with a dead spot in the center.

If anyone with a hexagon tank has tried it, I would love to hear the results.
