Indoor reef pond?

There are a couple of cool ones on reef central. I like the idea too. Think the key is to keep the surface relatively calm so you can see in well.
 
I want to do this w my 300 gal Rubbermaid stock tank but swapping my sump out is going to be a major undertaking. Was thinking of sectioning part off for my skimmer and cheato and using the rest of the space as a pond/reef w an extra halide pendant
 
Jeremy at CRA been running his for years or even decade. Very nice and simple but I don't know if I can stand the water noise.

People spend hundreds/thousands of Dollars for in door waterfalls it could be a two for one deal :D

Heck for that matter you could make the water fall an algae scrubber ;)

the evaporation and salt creep is horrendous on a setup like that. Not too mention the amount of ventilation needed to prevent your house from molding or rotting. I guess with enough money anything is possible...I could only dream :)

My dream is to have an indoor inground SW Pool/Reef... ;)
