Inside canopy-which paint to use?

I used a white Rustoleum Enamel then after 24hrs drying I coated with polyurathane.

Best stuff would be from a marine boat store...stuff they use on the underside of a hull. Expensive but will last almost forever.

I did my with 3 coats of white exterior oil paint.

I must beg to differ on the marine hull bottom paint suggestion. Believe me, I was the operations controller for Hinckley Yachts in Maine the last 8 years. Hull antifouling paints are extremely hazardous, many are copper and aluminum based, and are designed to be "ablative" paints (meaning they slowly where off over time). That's not to say they aren't very tough coatings. They are designed for hull bottoms not marine aquariums.

I've used West System Epoxy to coat several canopies with great success. Once cured it is essentially plastic and quite impervious. If you are using a reflector (which you should), I don't feel its neccessary to have the inside of your canopy be white. But, you could coat it white first and then epoxy over it if you wanted.

thanks guys!! wish me luck on this canopy project of mine because i'm a DIY dummie.
