How do you treat these? I remember a while back someone offered some advice w/peas and chopped garlic. Just looking for the best way to treat them natural or unnatural (medications).

Thanks,
Bill

It's very difficult to treat internal parasite infections. I do not believe that benign material like peas or garlic is going to cut it. Think it this way, would the parasites be damaged or irritated by those benign food? We are talking about parasites here, not vampires.

To get rid of internal parasites, you would most likely use poison, just like the human application. It doesn't sound so good, does it?

parasite clear by Jungle?

The major ingredient is praziquantel, which is a potent chemical to increase the permeability of the membranes of parasite cells (certain schistosomes) for calcium ions. If it can do to the parasite cells, it can also do to the fish cells. That's why you can label it as a type of poison.

A great care is needed when dosing the medication. You could easily kill your fish by overdosing it. It would be wise to consult ichthyologist for the matter.

Anyone?
