Hey everyone, I found this website from a friend going to Sea Creature Aquarium in R.I. and it's awesome. So far I've been given some great advice from Sokretys on this forum, thanks!
I've had fresh water tanks since I was 10 years old. At that age I was already crazy about fish, but not the kid who wanted a fish and never cared for it, but rather the kids who's parents wondered why their son spent more time in front of his fish instead of playing outside or watching tv. After many MANY years of fresh water I decided to jump on saltwater after I got a free setup from a friend.
I got a 55g reef set up for about 7 months now. Just starting with zoas, rics and some palys. I got a pair of perculas, a flame angel, black blenny, firefish and a mandarin. A couple of anemones as well.
As for equipment. I got an ice-cap, phoenix 14k 250w MH on one side and a sunpod MH on the other side for lighting. I got an ecosystem hang on fuge with a built-in skimmer. I have some filter floss, a couple of bags of purigen and chemi pure in the back chambers of the fuge.
That's pretty much it for now until I get a(hopefully) cheap 125g and I'll be using this current 55g as a sump.
That's it after that pretty long introduction
