Hi BRS,

I'm new here. Working on getting my tank up and running. This is my 6th tank in general, but only my second attempt at a reef tank; my first attempt failed miserably. I took some time away and did way too much reading about the hobby. I found some incorrect information, some accurate information, and learned some valuable lessons. I'm hoping to achieve success with this tank, but I'm new to this. Please be patient with me as I work on executing a successful strategy for reefing.

What happened with the first go around?

Inexperience played a significant role in the tank's demise, as it led to taking bad advice, failing to research correctly, and inadequate planning. The list goes on and on. Luckily, I've changed my approach this time around, met a few people who have been in the hobby for a long time, and am working to become a sponge of their knowledge and experience, so I've decided to give it another go.

I plan to start slowly with LPS and softies, focusing on fish that serve a purpose within the ecosystem rather than housing flashy fish.
