Isn't this a small world!

higorc

Call me IGOR :)
So to make a long story short I had to leave the hobby early 2010 for a while and sold all my equipment and livestock, but in the back of my head I always knew I would be back.

A couple of months ago I bought and set up a 72G Bowfront RR tank. It's been running for almost 1.5 months now.

I started planning what kind of fish and corals to get and thought to myself I should start with the first fish I ever bought when I first set my 75G RR back in 2007. So I got an Ocellaris Clownfish planning on getting a black/white Ocellaris down the road and trying to have them get along and maybe even mate like the ones I had gotten back in 2007 and then sold in 2010.

So I got this little guy.

2 weeks ago I get a PM from Mark (pjed99) saying he was thinking of getting out of the hobby for a while and offering me the pair of white/black + orange Ocellaris back... r u kidding me I said!!! I was just talking to my girlfriend last night how they were my first saltwater fish and how much I loved them! I even never took their picture down as my Avatar.

So yesterday I went to Mark's place and got them back. They are so much bigger! But I still can't believe Mark called me about getting them back, and that they are actually with me again... What a small world! It's faith I guess, they were meant to be with me (lol, I sound like a girl in love!).

They used to host with a RBTA and lay eggs all the time. I almost raised the fries a couple time but never went through with it. I plan on doing it this time. Mark told me they never stopped laying eggs and that they still do it frequently.

These are some pictures I took from both clowns after I introduced them to my tank yesterday. They go everywhere together and are so much bigger!

Thank you Mark for taking care of my babies and specially for getting them to me again!

All this comes with a twist… Now I need to find a new home for this guy;

The first thing the big female did when I put her and her mate in the tank was to bully that little guy. I have since put him in my sump where he is safe. If you want to adopt him, please go to:

Thanks again Mark (pjed99)!!!

HaHa. Great story. Hope the new guy finds a good home so he can start his own adventure.

Same thing happen to me but it is a wonderful story.
Many years ago I sold a pair of pink skunk clownfish to a friend because I wanted a pair of Onxy perc.
One year ago, I bought them back because my friend broke down his tank. Now I have the pair of pink skunk again only much bigger now.

Another story is about my hamster.
We gave away the hamster named Carmen on Free Cycle because my daughter got a guinea pig.
An old lady picked the hamster. A day later, she was back because she did not want to buy Carmen a cage (She wanted to keep it in a shoe box) and Carmen bit her.
Now Carmen is with us.

My wife said if a pet came back, it is a keeper.

Nice! I like that.... I never thought I would see them again, so this was a huge surprise for me to get them back. I know exactly how u feel!

Now I can't wait to get them a RBTA once I am sure my water quality is good and try to raise the clownfish fries. I wonder how they would be? Black/white or orange?!

I think they will be Mocha Clownfish,
No, I am not kidding.

I know...u r kind of far. I work in Northborough sometimes. It's a good drive...

He is going to Live Aquaria tomorrow. I feel bad leaving him in my sump!

How is he going to live aquaria? if you dont mind me asking.

I meant to say he would go to "Unique Aquaria" in Boston.... but unfortunately he had a terrible encounter with my Skimmer pump and DIED!!! I felt really bad. It was the day I was gonna take him there too.
Somehow he managed to go from my Refugium to the Sump part where the pumps are and got sucked into it! Terrible ending for this little guy!:(::

I just saw this post. Higor is a great guy and I am so glad he got his clowns back. They were the best fish I ever had. Sad thing is, I always thought of them as Higor's fish. He loved these fish and remember how he had a tough time getting rid of them when I picked them up. I never forgot how much he cared for them and when I realized that I couldn't give them my full attention I sent him a random PM. The rest is history!

Pretty awesome!
