Jebao CP-25 controller on Maxspect XF130?

Does anyone know if the Jebao controller will work on a genuine maxspect pump?
My Maxspect controller failed and is stuck at 100% regardless of mode/setting.
Trying to go through warranty process (good luck with CoralVue and their awful customer service).

In the meantime my 48g reef tank has 220GPH of flow from one crappy powerhead plus about 600gph from the return line.

With the wetside still good, I was wondering if the Jebao controller would work with it?
A new Maxspect controller costs $70!!! ($140 if you want the advanced one!!!)

That's just foolish for a plastic box with a motherboard in it.

I can spend $90 on a CP-25 and while $20 more expensive i'd have an entire pump as backup, or maybe I can get just the controller from Jebao if I contact fish-street (hoping).

Are they interchangeable?

In any light, what would you guys do? Fix the XF130 and sell it? Fix and keep? Get the advanced controller? Buy a CP-25 in it's place?

I'm lost on what to do here, but needless to say this sucks. The pump has worked 100% flawless for almost 6 months now and then one day bam, 100% flow without warning (snow globe anyone?)

Update: Carlos has agreed to ship me a new controller. Cross our fingers that solves the problem otherwise there will be a new controller, an old controller, and a faulty pump in the for sale threads soon.

I just ordered an XF130. Didn't know they had a bad wrap for customer service. Is Carlos a BRS member or someone who works for coralvue?

Carlos works for CoralVue.

To be fair he was much more easy to work with today than usual. Perhaps their customer service has gotten better. He asked a few foolish questions (is it plugged in?) and then gave me tracking info for the new controller.

I also used to have this controller in my sump, and while it's dry down there, i'm wondering if humidity affected it. It shouldn't, but who the heck knows.

New controller will be outside the stand.
