any tips on drilling the tank? i know i need a guide but how do i make one?

Have you ever drilled a tank before? If not find someone who has to help you. The kit should come with a template just use it to make a guide. I used a piece of wood for my guide. If you drill it yourself just remember keep it wet and don't force it let the drill do the work and go slow. I would use the guide and drill the holes from both sides you get a much cleaner hole.

how large are the holes? The best way I've found/seen it done is make a template out of a 1/2" thick piece of plywood. then dam around where you are drill and fill that with water. If you can find a drill that you can fix the speed to low thats great, but if not, that your variable speed drill, and instead of using your finger to pull the trigger, wrap a zip-tie around it at a very low speed, that way you wont have "speed wobbles"!

Anyone around pepperrll that can help drill it?

It should come with a template. Just tape it down and use that as your guide. As for tips, go slow, use the weight of the drill for pressure, use the lowest torque setting on the drill, and always keep the bit wet.

alrighty ill give it a whirl ill update when i get the bits

I drilled my tank with the same overflow kit. Just like the hobby patients is a virture. No pressure and lots of water? I used plumbers pudy to make a ring to hold the water in
