Killing Bubble Algea with Peroxide

Hi Guys-

It truely is amazing how quickly this stuff grows. I had a couple small bubbles in my tank about 6 weeks ago, and a week ago it was everywhere. I did a MAJOR cleaning of the rocks last weekend. Went over each rock in the tank with a fine toothed comb. I used a .5" siphon and scraped them off through the siphon. The hope was that any spores that broke would be siphoned out. There were a few rocks that I could not scrape. I took them out and decided it would be best to kill the rocks, and let them re-cycle in some old tank water. I have had them in a bucket of RO water and peroxide for roughly a week. It was 1 bottle of peroxide in roughly 3 gallons of water with a powerhead for movement.

How long do you feel i shoud leave them in for? There were many bubbles on the rocks that have dissapeared now. I just want to make sure the spores are dead before starting to re-cycle them in old tank water.

Thanks,
