LED fans, you should seriously take a look at this thread on RC

THIS is where I think future LED fixtures need to be heading!
Very nice build and tank.

EDIT: Did not know Maxspect used multichip LEDs though.

so does this mean people are liking them again?

I don't think people dislike LEDs. I had success with them on some corals but not on others. T5 & MH is more mainstream and figured out, they've been out a while. Remember 5 or 6 years ago we were told you could not grow SPS under T5. Well, things have progressed. My new ATI T5 fixture is dimmable with a built in controller! Wait another 5 years and they'll have LED figured out totally. I just don't want to be a manufacter's guinea pig anymore.

I liked LEDs since day 1. =]

Liquid cooled? sounds a bit over the top to me.

It's not really liquid cooled, they're "heat pipes" that transfer energy away from the copper block. Awesome for multi-chip LED applications.

From what I hear the single temp chips tend to give pretty poor color rendition. There are split white/royal blue chips (~$30 ebay), and also the "Dreamchip" which has RGB+UV as well in a single 100W chip. ( $100 per )

I know im kidding. I had issues with my Acans under them, but now I am 99% SPS so no issues anymore.
