Live Aquaria

frrrrunkis
I ordered a Mystery Wrasse from them this weekend and it arrived today and was a really nice looking healthy fish. I dont like to order fish online that much because you almost never know what you are going to get but so far I am very happy. He was out and swimming around after about an hour and even ate some blood worms when I fed the tank.

Package arrived before noon and was well packed with an ice pack.

Thumbs up for LA

I've been very fortunate and always had good luck with orders from Live Aquaria - even in the winter. They go to the ends of the earth to make sure that your order is properly packed. Even packages for Saturday delivery have always arrived in a timely manner. Post some pics of your new fish when you get a chance!

I will have to wait until tomorrow, my buddies wife borrowed my camera lens for a wedding and wont be brining it back until after lights out in the tank later on

Same fish, same time, same great packing. Now if my other Wrasses will get along it would be perfect.

I am lucky, I only have 1 other wrasse, a yellow coris and they dont even look at each other, I was a bit worried because when I added the coris few of the fish in the tank were picking on that fish, Vlamingi tank, rabbit fish and even my pink skunk pair was chasing but they all seem fine with the addition of the mystery wrasse (knock on wood)

Oh and she was looking good last night, picking at the rocks and even ate some mysis shrimp and was out and about when I got up today at about 8

I've gotten my hands on some pretty rare species through LA; certain fish I was wait-listed at several LFS's for a year with no luck.

On the other hand, I've had backordered ordered items ship with no notification (other than a tracking number indicating the package will arrive tomorrow). I've had them ship incomplete orders even when everything was supposedly in stock (their replay was "well do you really want us to ship unhealthy livestock?"). Give me a break, if it wasn't healthy it shouldn't be available on the website.

Sometimes it makes sense to shop online, and sometimes it makes sense to buy at a LFS.

Did they charge you extra shipping when they did that?

Not usually. Their DOA policy is that they'll ship (1) replacement at no charge, after that they refund you the price of the LS, no refunds on shipping.

This is fine assuming the replacement shows up alive which isn't always the case. I've had replacements show up DOA on more than one occasion and had to fight with them to send another.

Backordered items are shipped at no additional charge.
