VERY $$$$$$ to keep that going

my hippo he don't seem to like dry krill... all I feed him is the hirakee brine shrimp frozen,, green 1.

yea... but krill travel in packs... would take over the tank in no time... imo

not really possible to keep live krill in an aquarium. And its really only beneficial for certain fish. Kinda junk food in my opinion. Same thing with frozen brine. Kinda like the potato chips of the sea

There is almost no way krill can reproduce in a tank your size in a means large enough to even feed a single one of your fish. The closest thing to this would be the pod population in your tank, which even then would not be enough energy even if your single hippo tang ate all of them everyday. Sorry to disappoint but I feel like people have tried this before and only ended up with starving fish.

You won't be able to culture them in your aquarium.

Krill are in NO way junk food. They are one of if not THE most important food items in the ocean. They are naturally high in omega 3s DHA and EPA and many nutrients which is what you strive to add to brine to make it worth feeding. They are also high in caloric value. You might not want to feed krill daily due to it's richness, but it's definately not junk food.

Most smaller aquarium fish will have trouble, as their more sensitive digestive systems have a hard time with all the roughage. Benificial to certain fish, et al larger carnivores, seals, rays, sharks, some sea birds, and a good "treat" for omnivores.
