local source for a "kill-a-watt" meter?

Hey John - I'm not sure if they're doing it in MA at all, but in Maine, they have stocked one in each public library, so people can take them out just like they take out a book.

Worth looking into.
 
That's a great tip. Who would have known?

FWIW, I'm more than happy to have spent $20 on this thing. Now that I've tried it out, I can see how useful it will be in ongoing use for all sorts of things.

It's also a great monitor of when the air intake on my skimmer starts getting clogged up. I plan to use it continiously to monitor that.
