Looking for diagnosis of what has happeed to my open brain before I sell it.

See the white ridges? Sometimes they are more prominent than other times. And the over-all coloration is a little more drab than when I originally bought it.

I've heard too much light, not enough light, things picking on it, etc etc etc and everything i've heard contradicted the last person so I figured maybe an actual picture would help diagnose what happened?

It is in moderate-high flow under direct light of a 96w T5 with 2 actinics, a 50/50, and a pure white.

Nothing picks at it nor touches it.

I do not target feed it.

I do not have a sump nor dose anything however I do a bi-weekly waterchange.

Acclimated it for 3 hours when bought in January and looked fine til the beginning of February.

No husbandry of my tank has changed since last year.

Have you tried putting it in a low light area? I would tuck it under a ledge and see how it does

when i first bought my open brain it was bright red and now a month later it is a bright pink. i just been hoping it's red color comes back. but so far no luck. maybe i should also try putting it in a shaded area

1+ on the shaded area
spot feeding it would probably be helpful as well.

looks deflated and bleached, this happens to the red ones easily. The ones I have had always needed to be out of direct light, as soon as I would move it out of an overhang it would start to do that.

I have it shaded best I can now with a piece of opaque plastic I put in the tank.

Was wondering if it will ever reverse itself? Like can it ever color back up? And is that "bleached part" permanently "bleached"? And will it ever reinflate?

Yes it will come back if it doesn't go too far. Many LPS will do well in a cave with indirect light.

Good to know. Shame I simply do not have a cave or shaded area as that is basically the only reason I am looking to sell it.
