Looking for water change opinions

I am looking for input on water changes. I have a 65g reef with a 20g for a sump/refugium. It has a total water volume of 55g. I do a 15g WC at the end of every month. Now, I was wondering if I am better off doing weekly 5g WC's. What do think is better?

weekly 5 is better , repleneshis trace elements used by corals and always be ready for a larger one if somethings gets out of whack

I put 1-3 gallons in mine a week, as top off. That's it. I haven't done a WC in over a month, and that was when I emptied the tank completely to change the sand bed. Before that, probably close to 2.5-3 months. My water parameters maintain a stable level very well on their own. It's a 90 with a 29 sump (I figure 105-110 gallons)

Do you mean you top off with fresh water 1-3 gallons a week???

Yes. I check salinity before adding water, just in case it needs any salt mixed in, but 99% of the time it's just a small fresh water top off.

I also run a UV sterilizer, GFO, and Carbon.
