Part 1
I have several Eshopps frag racks that I like the look of and have come to trust as well made equipment. I bought a used one recently and gave it a bath in Citric acid to clean it up before using it in a well established tank. It was in for several months and developed a little fuzzy growth so I pulled it for cleaning and was shocked to see both magnets had swelled and were leaching into the water. I have the exact same models and all are fine except this used one for some reason. As mentioned, I bought it used so don't know its history. Does anyone have any thoughts on what could have done this?.... Just a bad run?...6 months in vinegar?...
Part 2
Has anyone ever used a solvent or glue that they would trust to repair this?
I Had a couple resin coated magnets and repaired the rack with them, but wondering if there is a product someone has used they would trust to seal and encapsulate a magnet that gets submerged.
