majano or tulip? Does it matter?

Never had one in five+ years, but discovered a cluster of these critters beside and behind a turbinaria. It's stinging its neighbor, but all anemones do that. It looks a lot like Behrmon's #1 in
see post #15. Or like Greg's cute pink tip. The tips are pointed and pink, not bulbous nor the same color as the stems. There is no raised base. The more I research, the more I think people misidentify majanos with tulips.

Should I just nuke them?

TIA,
Rich

kill them.
Tulips are majonos

I like my tulip anemones. I got mine from Paula and put them in my softie tank with my other anemones. They don't bother anyone and no one bothers them. They get pretty big, and I think they're pretty.
I can see why you wouldn't want them in with sps corals, however.

I think it's pretty too. But just to be on the safe side I keep my tulip anemone to one...whenever it split I take one out.

It's a tulip, either seperate or kill the tulip.

It's a tulip, but they can multiply pretty fast. As mentioned above, of course tulips might be in the genus Majano, I've never seen an species or genera id for them. Consider carefully if you really want a lot of them around.
