I run 2 MaxiJet algae free mods in my 90 gallon.
I like the way they work and now with the magnet mounts it's 100% better. My only issue is the length of the cords.I have my strips mounted on one side of the stand(open back). The cord from one of the MJ's comes up about 2 ft. short.
Anybody else have issues with cord length?

I use a left handed cord stretcher, solves all my problems. Right handed ones do not work as good. ;)

Yup been there.
No matter how long or short a company puts on a product it is never the right length.

I believe the depot has some short 1 plug extension cords.

or maybe cut the cord off of an old VCR and splice it to the end of the maxi jet cord.

Nobody uses their VCR's any more anyway. :D

I'll probably pick up a short extension cord today.
I just don't feel like crawling under the tank anymore to try and move a strip to the other side. And then figure out what plugs can go where and such.
When all I really need is 2 ft. more cord.

I bought a wire stretcher long time ago when the prototype wire harnesses I built were in development stages and needed to make the connections. Great investment. I'd cut off the ends of any cords of broken equipment and it's saved me a time and money with projects.
