May have found a cheap fuge...

I ordered the Phosban reactor from 2 little fishes to run carbon thru it. I added it to my fuge a week or so ago and has been working great. Well last night I'm doing some maintainence and I notice some of the carbon had seperated forming a 1" gap in the reactor. Too my suprise apparently at least one pod made it thru the maxijet pump and it was FULL of pods in that gap. Probably a couple dozen at least in there in such a tiny space. I wonder if someone could use it media less with some macro in there. Since the return line is 1/2" non-restricted, pods could make their way back into the tank unharmed.

I think this could make a great nano fuge. If you have a tank with a decent amount ambient lighting around, or a spilly pendant,you could do it without a dedicated light. Throw in a small ball of chaeto and a mj600 or so...
