moving a tank

dcforester1

Finally enjoying my tank
Does anyone have the suction cups used to move glass? I need to move my tank, and it is very heavy.

TIA Derek

I think Skipton's has some. Not sure but they may be renting them these says.

Is that what people use? I built a crate to put it in, but its 3/4in glass and going up to the 2nd floor.

Gee, I was going to offer to help. The minute you said "going to the 2nd floor" my shoulders started hurting. Just moved a 180 that was empty about 80' on pretty level ground with just two people and it was pretty exhausting.

Either way if you need a hand I am available after work M-F with some advanced notice.

Why is everyone into the suction cups and not just muscling the tank up by carrying it the old fashioned way? What am I missing here?

I moved it out of the house that way, but its just really awkward, and slippery. I got your message, but have been working every night. Thanks for the offer on help. I will let you know.
