Looking for a moving company to move a 300 gallon tank out of a home everyone I have called has said no they won’t touch it any help is much appreciated

Most moving companies won't move it for liability reasons as they don't want to take on the risk. I would suggest finding the closest LFS that does maintenance and see if they can help you out as that will be your best option by far plus you'll have people that know how to move a tank.

What type of tank is it ? Also what floor is it currently in and what floor it'd be going to?

In a basement going up a flight of stairs out the front door into my truck
Mike there are a few details you forgot to add the owner asked for a insured company to move it so damage is covered if it happens. Also the stairs closest to the tank require it to be stood up on end at the top of the stairs to move in hallway to get to the front door. This way also requires a contractor to remove the railing on the staircase.I acutely think it might be easier to go up stairs near the kitchen. Basically its definitely a labor move for the staircase part either way up. I wish I could help but my "strong hand" cant lift...

T.E. Andreson in Salisbury, MA.

They picked up my 240 DT & 150 sump from the shipping terminal (after I inspected it), delivered into my house and up on the stand.

They have a rigging crew that they use for lab equipment at MGH, so they aren’t skittish about large aquariums.

Did a great job, and were fully covered with a certificate of insurance specifically for that work.

Worth a shot.

Premium Q movers moved a 280g and 170g to storage for me. My 280g is acrylic so probably significantly lighter than a glass 300g, but might be worth asking them.

I know this thread is from spring, but I’m leaving an update in case someone else is still looking for help moving large aquariums. I had a similar situation with a massive tank, and almost everyone I called refused to handle it. The only ones who came up with a real solution were the team from Shleppers Moving & Storage. They sent a crew with heavy-duty moving equipment, stabilized everything before transport, and delivered it without a single crack.
